One Tree Hill’s Jana Kramer Signs With Warner Music Nashville & Debut Single Hits #2 On iTunes Chart

Jana Kramer, who plays a dramatized version of her triple-threat self as “Alex Dupre” on The CW’s One Tree Hill, has inked a deal with Warner Music Nashville for her major label country debut. A singer/songwriter at her core, Jana will premiere her single, “I Won’t Give Up,” which she co-wrote, in the February 8th episode of One Tree Hill (The CW, Tuesdays 8/7c).
“I Won’t Give Up” is about never giving up on the ones you love,” said Kramer. “I wrote this song because I know what it’s like to be dependent on someone then have to learn how to stand on my own again.”
After one day since its release, Country newcomer Jana Kramer’s single “I Won’t Give Up” has already hit the charts at No. 2 on the iTunes Top Country Songs and No. 38 overall on the iTunes chart and is the number one trending search on Yahoo.com. Preceding Kramer on the Country charts is Jason Aldean’s “Don’t You Wanna Stay” (featuring Kelly Clarkson).
Kramer will continue to split her time between her home in East Nashville and shooting One Tree Hill in Wilmington, N.C. until the season wraps in March.
