Carrie Underwood will shine the spotlight on country music’s hottest new stars as she co-hosts the America’s Opry Weekend New Faces of Country Special the weekend of March 5. Underwood made her Grand Ole Opry debut six years ago less than two weeks after winning the 4th season of “American Idol.” Now the multi-award-winning, multi-platinum-selling superstar member of the Opry will share her success story as well as playing the music of some of the hot new voices on the Opry stage and on the country music charts throughout the special.
Among the artists and songs listeners will hear are “Undo It,” Underwood; “If I Die Young,” The Band Perry; “I’m A Little More Country Than That,” Easton Corbin; “Smoke A Little Smoke,” Eric Church; “Boots On,” Randy Houser and “Someone Else Calling You Baby,” Luke Bryan.
America’s Opry Weekend is hosted each week by Mike Terry and presents top artists’ performances from the Opry stage, studio hits, and interviews and behind the scenes reports from backstage at the Opry. The show is serviced by Westwood One and airs on country radio stations across the country and on the Armed Forces Radio Network.
