Steel Magnolia’s self-titled debut album claimed the #1 spot on the iTunes Country Albums Chart only 12 hours after its release on Tuesday. The long-anticipated album remained in the #1 position today – three days after its release.
The 2011 Academy of Country Music Award nominees celebrated their album release week in New York City with an Album Release Show at the famed Bowery Ballroom on Monday night – earning an encore from the New York City crowd. Yesterday, a live concert photo of Steel Magnolia dominated the front page of The New York Times’ “The Arts” section.

Written by Steel Magnolia’s Joshua Scott Jones and Meghan Linsey with hit songwriter Hillary Lindsey (“Jesus, Take The Wheel”), “Last Night Again” details the story of a pair who unexpectedly cross paths after a romantic encounter the evening before.
