Joe Nichols Named Halftime Performer At AFC Championship Game Steelers vs. Jets

Joe Nichols has just been announced as the halftime entertainment for this weekend’s AFC Championship game, when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the New York Jets at Heinz Field Sunday in Pittsburgh, beginning at 6:30 pm ET and airing on the CBS television network.

“I am a sports fanatic and being able to perform at halftime for the fans of the Steelers and the Jets is such a thrill for me,” Nichols said. “One of these teams will be going to the Super Bowl—enough said! So being able to pump the fans up, even more than they already will be, is my goal. Thanks to the Steelers’ organization for making it happen.”

The next morning, the world premiere of Nichols’ new video for  “The Shape I’m In” launches and on Tuesday, his Greatest Hits release hits stores, showcasing the breadth and depth of the Show Dog-Universal Music artist’s career.  The CD will feature his Top 20 and climbing hit “The Shape I’m In,” and his three-week #1 hit “Gimmie That Girl,” the second most played song of 2010; as well as three other #1s and multiple Top 10’s.
