Frankie Ballard, recently named one to watch for in 2011 by Country Weekly, Dallas Morning News and Roughstock.com, made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, January 7 at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Immediately following Opry star and show opener Jeannie Seely, Ballard got the crowd going with his high-energy performance of his current his single Tell Me You Get Lonely and the up-tempo, rockin country Get On Down The Road. Both tunes are from his forthcoming debut album to be released later this year.
Ballard is breaking through the country music charts with his rockin debut single, Tell Me You Get Lonely, landing in the Top 35 on the country singles charts and his debut music video reigns in the No. 5 spot on GACs fan-voted Top 20 Country Countdown. Hailing from Battle Creek, Michigan, Frankie Ballard brings a fresh new sound with his unique blend of edgy, country rock and sheer, fleet-fingering guitar skills. In 2008, Ballard won Kenny Chesneys Next Big Star regional competition and opened for Chesney at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids and Ford Field in Detroit. Ballard is currently working on his forthcoming debut album for Warner Bros. Records with producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean).
