NASCAR Hosting SPEED’s Red Carpet Special For The American Country Awards Tomorrow Night

NASCAR driver and team owner Michael Waltrip and Charissa Thompson are hosting SPEED’s Red-Carpet special from the inaugural AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS, airing live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Monday, Dec. 6 on FOX.

“This is a great opportunity to have a little fun with our sister network,” said Patti Wheeler, SPEED EVP of Programming & Production. “There is a lot of comfortable crossover between our NASCAR audience and fans of country music, and this event will spotlight some of the superstars from both worlds.”

The one-hour SPEED red-carpet special begins at 7 p.m. ET, with the AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS airing at 8 p.m. ET live/ 8 p.m. PT tape-delayed on FOX.

Recording artist Laura Bell Bundy, a nominee for “Music Video: Breakthrough Artist” will be SPEED’s red-carpet reporter interviewing music superstars Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, Steel Magnolia, Josh Turner, Uncle Kracker and many more.

Adkins is hosting the two-hour event on FOX, with scheduled appearances by Bundy, Rodney Carrington, Jewel, Lady Antebellum and Bret Michaels; rodeo star Ty Murray; comic Jeff Dunham; and a host of NASCAR drivers.
