James Otto’s Thanksgiving Performance With Ronnie Milsap On Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

James Otto’s Thanksgiving Day turned out to be a “late-night” as he joined his musical hero, country music legend Ronnie Milsap and the critically acclaimed hip-hop group The Roots for a soul-stirring performance on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thanksgiving Day.

The undeniably soulful musical match-up performed Otto’s tune “Good Thing’s Gone Bad.” Bringing out the old-school R&B grit in his powerhouse voice, this song is from Otto’’s current album, Shake What God Gave Ya, co-produced by Otto and Paul Worley (Big & Rich, Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum). “Ronnie Milsap is one of my favorite artists of all time. I call him the Godfather of Country Soul,” shares Otto in a recent interview.” ”He mixed classic R&B with country music and to great effect. Performing with him and the Roots on Fallon was exhilarating … a memory that I’m never going to forget. If I couldn’t be with my family on Thanksgiving, this was the coolest possible thing I could have done!”
