With his God-given lungpower and signature country-soul sound, Warner Bros. Records’ James Otto brings an emotional force to his crowd-silencing new single “Soldiers & Jesus.” A song for which takes on a deeper personal meaning for this former Navy serviceman as Veteran’s Day approaches.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Otto will be sending a salute nationwide by offering a free download of “Soldiers & Jesus” on all participating radio station websites for one-week beginning on Nov. 8 and ending on Nov. 14. To download this song, be sure to visit your local radio station website.
“I’m part of a military family. My dad was a drill sergeant in the US Army for 23 years—and my grandfather is a Korean War vet; I served in the Navy myself,” Otto shares. “Veterans’ Day has always held a special meaning in our house and to be able to give back and pay my respects with ‘Soldiers & Jesus’ reminds me why I do what I do everyday.”
Otto recently passed through Washington DC and while in town, he gave the Pentagon Channel a “Command Performance.” This exclusive three-part series is now airing on the channel’s popular show Command Performance and can also be viewed online at www.pentagonchannel.mil. This unique series features Glenn Selby, an MC2 in the Navy, interviewing Otto, a live acoustic performances of his smash No. 1 hit “Just Got Started Loving You” for an intimate crowd of servicemen as well as an emotional performance of “Soldier & Jesus” set against a moving montage of war footage and photos.
