Rascal Flatts "Blames" The Fans For Their Success

Rascal Flatts have hit the top of the charts 11 times, sold more than 20-million albums and 25-million digital downloads, garnered more than 40 awards and played more than 700 tour dates since 2000 and will receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. The guys, who are currently headlining their Nothing Like This Tour, says their fans are to blame for the band’s success.

“Our success is their fault, you know, it truly is,” explains gui-tarist Joe Don Rooney. “The fans employ us. I mean, that might sound kind of silly, but it’s true because everything they do, funnels through to us and our company – the record sales, the tickets to the shows, coming out and being so passionate and pumped up for our music. It drives us. It’s the driving force behind everything we do.”

The guys are tearing up the airwaves with their single “Why Wait,” which is the first release from their new album, Nothing Like This, which hits stores on November 16th. The band is set to make an appearance this week on Ellen promoting their new music.
