Country star Darryl Worley’s ninth annual Tennessee River Run begins tomorrow, Thursday, September 16 and continues through Saturday, September 18. Considered to be one of the largest festivals in West Tennessee, Worley has once again, put together an all-star cast to participate in the three-day festival.
The weekend kicks-off Thursday (9/16), with a fish fry and a special songwriters round, featuring performances by Worley and several of his good buddies and co-writers, Wynn Varble, Jim “Moose” Brown and Phil O’ Donnell. Friday, September 17 begins with a
Golf Tournament, followed by an evening concert featuring, The Marshall Tucker Band.
A full day of fun is also planned for Saturday (9/18), to include a 5K Run/Walk, a Kid’s Fishing Tournament, a
Motorcycle Poker Run, and an Arts & Crafts Fair. The evening concert wraps the festival with performances by Lee Brice, Danny Gokey, Joe Diffie, and Worley closing the show. All active military personnel are invited to attend the Saturday night concert free of charge.
Proceeds from the TRR will benefit the Darryl Worley Foundation, which has provided more than a million dollars to help numerous charitable organizations and thousands of people in need throughout his community. The foundation is also funding the new Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center that’s presently being built in Savannah, TN as part of the Hardin Medical Center.
