Kenny Chesney Scores A Touchdown With "The Boys Of Fall"

Kenny Chesney has broken his own record for largest opening-week downloads by a male country artist, selling 82,000 downloads of his new single “The Boys of Fall.” The first week downloads of the song, from his new album ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’ out September 28 on BNA Records, top the 71,000 Chesney sold of “Out Last Night” in 2009, which formerly held the record. Additionally, “The Boys of Fall” jumps 78 spots to #18 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart.

The country superstar, who has sold more than 30 million albums to date, says of the anthemic song: “I learned how to work hard on the football field. I learned how to trust people on the football field. I learned humility on the football field. I learned teamwork on the football field. And all those things apply to what you do in your life. If you learn that early on, you have a chance to be really great at something.”
