Blake Shelton truly is one of the industry’s “most versatile of contemporary country singers” (
The New York Times) and he is showing just how versatile he can be as he co-hosts with Hoda Kotb on Monday, August 23rd on NBC’s “Today Show.”
This is Shelton’s third time on the morning show this year and fourth appearance overall. The Reprise Recording Artist returns to the morning show after sitting down with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb less than two weeks ago to discuss his newly released SIX PAK, All About Tonight, which is currently No. 1 on the SoundScan Top Country Albums chart and his single, “All About Tonight” is No. 1 this week on the Billboard and Country Aircheck (Mediabase) charts. Shelton joked with Gifford that she may not be welcomed back after his stint as co-host for the morning show.
“I don’t think the Today Show knows what they really signed up for with me co-hosting,” Blake says. “I mean, have you read my tweets? I hope they’re ready to sensor me.”
All About Tonight debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan Top Country Albums chart and No. 6 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, making it Shelton’s highest charting record to date. Shelton also received the No. 1 spot this week on the Billboard and Country Aircheck (Mediabase) charts with his single, “All About Tonight.” This marks his second No. 1 of the year and seventh of his career. Shelton is the only solo male country artist – one of three artists overall (
Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band) – to log more than one chart-topper so far this year on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs with his singles “Hillbilly Bone” and “All About Tonight.”
