Colombia, Day 3
August 18, 2010
Today I spent my first day in one of Compassion’s ‘projects,’ which is the church and school where the sponsored children learn. What an eye opening experience. The children are so sweet and thankful. They are so happy just to have a meal and clothes. I saw three children meet the people who sponsor them. It brought me to tears to see them latch on so quick. This is a big deal to them. They dress in their nicest clothes and some even flew across the country to meet their sponsors. Less than 1% of the kids ever get to. I wish you all could see this. I am taking lots of video and I will post that when I get home and have time to go through it. Please take a moment and check out compassion.com and see if you can be that sponsor for a child in need. This is our chance to do something that has eternal consequences.
