Kenny Chesney’s new single “The Boys of Fall” makes its world premiere on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Monday August 2nd. This unique, four-minute video edit will air twice – just before 12:00 Noon, with another airing at the conclusion of the 2:00 pm edition (all times Eastern). “The Boys of Fall” is the debut single from Chesney’s forthcoming album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, which will be released on September 28.
While “The Boys of Fall” is a tribute to the sensations, the moments and the memories of playing football, the music video enhances those emotions with footage from the pee-wee to the professional level, highlighted by some of the biggest names in the sport. “Every day we see the world of sports come to life on ESPN, and I’m thrilled that ‘The Boys of Fall’ has found a home there,” said Chesney.
On Tuesday, August 3, the full-length eight-minute version of the music video will be available at all outlets including VEVO, CMT and GAC. The eight minute version will also be available on ESPN.com and ESPNRise.com through the week beginning Aug. 2. The full length version, co-produced by Chesney, has been a labor of love for him.
After two weeks of radio airplay, “The Boys of Fall” is already a Top 15 hit at country radio, ranking among the fastest-rising singles of Chesney’s career. On Tuesday, August 3, the song will be available for purchase at all digital retailers.
