Jaron & The Long Road To Love's New Album Is Country's Highest Charting Debut Album Of 2010

Jaron And The Long Road To Love’s freshman album Getting Dressed In The Dark lands at #2 this week on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart selling nearly 24,000 copies in its first week, behind only supergroup Lady Antebellum’s smash ‘Need You Now’, ranking higher in its inaugural week on the Country albums tally than any other title this year from a new act.
Jaron attributes the success to the relationship he has with his social media ‘frans’ [part fan/part friend] (the online army grew 700% last month to over 160,000 opt-in members to date).
“I’m grateful to Country radio who have introduced me to so many wonderful new listeners.  That support, coupled with daily interaction on my Facebook wall, is where I attribute the success of this release.  For me to have a direct line to so many fans and for them to have a direct line to me, the artist, is beyond powerful,” says Jaron from his home in Nashville.  “Social media was a big reason for my return to music.  It was important to me to bring the fans in early in the process and with the ability to go directly to them with my music.  I enjoy interacting with my fans daily.  It’s important that they feel like this is fun and not work for me and the only way to get that across to them is to have it be true and let them into my world.”

Jaron’s world is only getting bigger as his success accelerates; this week his debut single “Pray For You” increases within the top 15 at Country radio and his video propels to #6 on next week’s CMT’s Top 20 Countdown.
