The world famous honky-tonk bar in Nashville,Tootsies Orchid Lounge, is turning 50 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary on November 7th with a concert at the Ryman Auditorium. At this time, the concert line-up includes Kris Kristofferson & Terri Clark with more artists being added. We are sure the line-up for this show will be sensational and will showcase the history that this institution has brought to the city of Nashville.
The Ryman show will include a retrospective presentation paying tribute to Tootsies and the iconic woman it’s named for, Hattie Louise “Tootsie” Bess, who died in 1978. The concert will be part of a network television special and documentary celebrating Tootsies, produced by Nashville-based Travis Television.
Tootsies’ proprietor, Steve Smith commented, “Tootsies has become a country music institution and Kris Kristofferson is a part of its rich history. For Tootsies’ 50th anniversary show, we are booking artists which most honor its past, present, and future.”
Tickets to the show at the Ryman will be available via TicketMaster or at the Ryman box office.
