Miranda Lambert Plants Another #1 With 'The House That Built Me'

Miranda Lambert’s The House That Built Me has landed in the #1 spot on the country singles charts this week. This is Miranda’s second #1 hit as her previous single White Liar rose to the top of the charts last year.

The hit song was originally presented to Blake Shelton but he insisted that Miranda take it. “It was beautiful,” Lambert said. “I mean, I just started bawling from the second I heard it. He was like, ‘If you have a reaction to this song like that, then you need to cut it’.”

Miranda is currently headlining her own tour Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars in addition to picking up 3 ACM Awards including Female Vocalist of the Year, her recent engagement to Blake Shelton and now her new #1 for The House That Built Me.
