Chuck Wicks Hot New Single – Hold That Thought

With the release of his debut album, Starting Now, two years ago, RCA Nashville recording artist Chuck Wicks emerged as a fresh voice, both as a vocalist and songwriter, with hits like “Stealing Cinderella” and “All I Ever Wanted” resonating with an everyman’s perspective on life and love. Now, with the first single from his upcoming sophomore album, Wicks brings a sultry new edge to “Hold That Thought,” heating up the radio and video airwaves – and the temperatures of more than a few fans – with its sexy portrayal of the much-anticipated reunion of a guy and his gal.

Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann declared the song “hit bound,” cheering “Hold That Thought” and its “blue-eyed soul groove that doesn’t let up for an instant.”

Radio stations have been every bit as enthusiastic in their early praise of the single, with KRST Albuquerque Music Director Kristina Carlyle proclaiming, “The FIRST time I heard ‘Hold That Thought,’ I knew it was a hit and that it was the sexiest, hottest song I had heard in a very long time,” while WRBT Harrisburg Program Director JT Bosch declares, “Chuck is back and better than ever.”

WPOC Baltimore/WMZQ Washington D.C. PD Meg Stevens says “Hold That Thought” is “sweet, sexy and summery,” and WGGY Scranton APD Tanya Burko calls it “a song both men and women will be drawn to…men for the lyrics and women for the singer…and the lyrics. A win-win!”

WKKT Charlotte’s Ryan Dokke smiles, “This song is so sexy, my ONLY concern with playing it is causing traffic accidents with my female audience!”
The steamy music video for “Hold That Thought” equally captures the spirit of the song, with actress Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) portraying Wicks’ love interest in the video.

Fans are also getting to see another side of Chuck in the July issue of PEOPLE Country, available nationwide now, as the magazine cast him in the role of “Mystery Date,” in a tip of the hat to the classic board game.

Chuck’s easy-going manner and sense of humor made him a perfect fit for the four-page feature, as he told the magazine, “I don’t take myself seriously at all, obviously. You can tell from this photo shoot!” Fans can see a video from the shoot on HERE.

The digital single for “Hold That Thought” and the digital download for the music video are both available now, and fans can also pick up the song as the perfect cell phone ringtone or ringback tone.
