Last week Blake Shelton hosted his annual fan club party during the CMA Music Fest. The event was held at the Wildhorse Saloon on Friday, June 10th and raised $30,609 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Blake decided to add to the donations by taking song requests from the fans and for every song he did not know, he would donate $20 to the cause. The final tally for Blake’s donation was $510.
Miranda Lambert’s mother, Beverly, had a special request for Shelton. She requested “She Talks To Angels” by the Black Crowes. Beverly told Blake, “I have a $100 request. If you don’t know it, you have to double the donation.” The challenge was on and Blake performed an amazing rendition of the hit.
Other surprise guests included Dierks Bentley, Laura Bell Bundy and fiance Miranda Lambert. The evening was a success and funds were raised for a fantastic cause.
