Steel Magnolia's Debut Album Scheduled To Release In September

Amidst a hectic radio tour schedule, Steel Magonolia’s Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones have been hard at work on their debut album, and after months of production, all tracks for the project have been recorded.

The new record is actually finished, and it’ll be out in September,” notes Meghan. “We’ve been working with Dann Huff, who’s an amazing producer. He’s produced Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, just a lot of big acts. I think it’s really cool that we got to go in and cut a lot of our own original material that we wrote. We’re in a place with the label that’s very supportive in giving us creative freedom, and that was really important to us when we signed the record deal. And Dann Huff has really brought it all to life. There’s things, just little things that he does that you’d never have thought about, but just sound great on the record.”

But fans of the duo who can’t wait until the fall to hear the full project can access three songs from the album now at iTunes. “We have the EP out right now, the five-song EP with, obviously ‘Keep on Lovin’ You’ on there, plus ‘Ooh La La’ and ‘The Edge of Goodbye,’ which we wrote and performed on CMT’s Can You Duet. Two live tracks from the show are also on the EP,” Josh notes.

You can also catch the duo out on Brad Paisley’s H20 Tour which kicks off later this month!!
