The Hard Rock in Nashville will help kick off the CMA Music Festival on June 10th by hosting the Kenny Chesney Songwriters Tribute.

The Songwriters will come together for a Musicians On Call Songwriters Series Benefit taking place at the Hard Rock Cafe’ on Lowest Broadway in Nashville on the first day of the CMA Music Festival. This tribute will feature Mac McAnally (who also dueted on the #1 “Down The Road,” “Back Where I Come From”), Craig Wiseman (“The Good Stuff,” “Ain’t Back Yet,” “Summertime”), Brett James (“When The Sun Goes Down,” “Out Last Night”), Neil Thrasher (“There Goes My Life,” “I Lost It”), Wendell Mobley (“There Goes My Life,” “How Forever Feels”) and Casey Beathard (“Don’t Blink,” “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems”).

“It’s amazing the way all of those writers understand where I come from, who I am, the things that matter to me,” says the man who’s penned hits of his own “Beer In Mexico,” “I Go Back” and “Out Last Night,” as well as Rascal Flatt’s multiple week #1 “Take Me There” and David Nail’s rising “Turning Home.” “When you find a song that touches you like theirs have touched me, well, you know those are the songs that’re gonna connect — and I love the fact that those songwriters get to see their songs have life in Nashville during the week when all the fans come to town.”

“These songwriters are awesome singers and performers in their own right. That they can come together like this — and help raise money for something as worthwhile as Musicians on Call, which provides recorded music and bedside performances for people to sick to participate in music any other way — well, that’s the power of what songs can do.”
